What section of the Delaware
River will we fish?
Flow, water temperature, weather and time of the year all determine how different sections of the river fish at any given time. These conditions change throught the season. What section we'll fish on any given day will be determined by these factors.
What weight fly rod will I need?
I suggest a rod that you are comfortable fishing with. Keep in mind though this is big water. While fishing a 3 or 4 weight rod is nice you may not have the power that you might need to reach rising fish. One day you can get close to the fish, but the next day they can be spooky and you will have to make a considerably longer cast. The wind can also be a factor on any given day. Bringing along a 5 or 6 weight rod will make thes situtations much easier to deal with.

What You Will Need To Bring
You will need to bring fly rod, chest waders, reel, line, leaders and tippet material. A New York or Pennsylvainia State fishing license.
Remember to dress for the weather. Bring worm clothing, it's always colder on the water.
A rain coat, never go fishing without one! If you don't bring one it will rain and that's not much fun!
What tippet and leader sizes
will I need to bring?
For dry fly and nymph fishing you will need 5, 6 and maybe 7X.
Streamer fishing requires heavier tippet, 3 to 1x.
