Hello all,
It is freezing outside, so, much needed fly tying is gnawing at my conscience;
which prompts this question:
What do you consider to be the preferred shades of color for body and hair wings
for the Elk Hair Caddis intended for the West Branch?
Does the preferred colors change with the season? and is size 18 correct?
Thanks in advance.

Aw come on, doesn't anyone out there want to help out an old duff?
Wanna bribe?
I have 2#'s of frog hair desiccant (for drying flies) that I'm willing to share.

Hi Jerry,
I think that there are a lot of folks who want information but do not
have the requisite skills to make any meaningful contribution.
Things should change when April rolls around.

I keep thinking of that great spot you guided me on,
where I caught those rainbows on steroids. They were really ticked off!

Dick, I just registered here and saw this old post by you. I'm new to this whole thing but there are some spring and fall caddis patterns available at this site that are listed as appropriate for the West Branch. I can't vouch for the reliability but take it for what it's worth. Try here: http://www.flyshack.com/HatchChart.aspx?RiverID=4
